This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic (hosted by The Broke and Bookish) is Top Ten Best/Worst Series Enders. I could only think of 8 because many of the series I have started I have yet to finish.
– This book was the perfect ending for the perfect series. We got to see Tatiana and Alexander’s life play out and I ended the last page feeling perfectly content.
Perfect Fifths by Megan McCafferty (Jessica Darling #5) - The Jessica Darling series took us on a ride and we got to grow up with Jessica and Marcus. Perfect Fifths was a great ending to the story.
Crush by Nicole Williams (Crash #3) – This series was an absolute roller coaster of emotions but by the last page, I felt the characters grew nicely and we were given a solid ending.
This Girl by Colleen Hoover (Slammed #3) - While this third book did not add many new plot points, it did feel like a nice warm hug that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
Reckless by S.C. Stephens (Thoughtless # 3) – This book wasn't terrible, however, for me, it did not feel necessary. I LOVED the first two books and this one seemed like the author was just trying to stretch the story.
Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyers (Twilight #4) – When Edward started eating a baby out of Bella’s stomach, I just gave up…
Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James (Fifty Shades #3) – I hated the imagery at the end of the perfect family living the perfect life picnicking in the field behind their house. It felt way too neat for this troubled couple.
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games #3) – I did enjoy this book however it took a turn from the first two that I probably would not have picked myself. I loved the idea of the revolution, but not necessarily the way Suzanne had the story play out.
What are your picks this week? Do you agree or disagree with any of the books on my list?
